Tables
Collections is a database you build yourself: tables of records, each with the fields you choose, linked to one another.
Create a table
In the Collections menu, choose New:
- Table: start blank and add your fields.
- Table from a form: the form’s fields and its responses so far, then each new response.
- Table from a document: scan an ID card, an invoice or any document, and its fields are read into a table.
- Dashboard, Document, Process and Folder, each with its own page here.
Import records
- 1Open the table’s menu and choose Import.
- 2Pick a CSV or JSON file, up to 10 MB.
- 3Check the preview: columns match fields by name, new columns can become fields, typed from their values, and choices a field lacks are added.
- 4Import into this table, or into a new table made from the file’s columns.
Export and print
Every view’s menu exports what it shows as CSV, ready for Excel, and prints it as a table with its groups and amounts added up.
Who shapes tables
Creators make, rename, duplicate and delete tables and their fields. Editors add and change records. Everyone else reads.
