Templates and the marketplace
A template sets up a base for a kind of work in one go: its tables and views, forms, documents, processes and apps.
Use a template
- 1Open Templates from the sidebar’s Bases header, or From a template on the workspace’s home.
- 2Filter by category or search, then open a template to preview what it holds.
- 3Choose Use, name the base, and decide whether to add its sample records, which are off by default.
Only the templates whose apps your plan holds are offered.
Add a template to a base you have
Grow a base one pack at a time. From a template’s preview, choose Add to a base: the apps it needs are added, its tables are filed in folders named after it, and a table you already have from another template, such as Leads or Competitors, takes in what is new instead of being made twice.
What the catalog holds
- Bases for a trade: hospital, school, learning platform, property, events, hotel, restaurant, car rental, gym, driving school, library, contracts and more.
- Packs of business sheets: business development, sales, marketing, market research, e-commerce, finance, human resources, productivity, project management and a KPI toolkit, many with their own checklist.
- Reviews and paperwork: a business health check, a business audit, and the legal documents a business needs.
- Trackers: budget, debt payoff, fitness and habits.
Save your own
Save a base as a template from its menu on the workspace’s home, with or without its records. Portals, workflows, forms and documents are saved from their own menus, and offered again when you make a new one. Each template is:
- Private: yours alone.
- Workspace: everyone in the workspace can use it.
- Public: shared on the marketplace under your name, for other workspaces to add.
Premium templates
Premium templates are made by the platform’s team, shown first in every marketplace with their own badge.
