Forms API
Every form can be an API, so your own website or app sends it answers.
Turn it on
- 1Turn Form APIs on in the base’s Forms settings.
- 2Open the form’s API tab and switch it on.
- 3Copy its key, shown once; make a new one at any time.
Endpoints
- GET /api/forms/:id
- The form’s fields, to draw it.
- POST /api/forms/:id/submissions
- Send answers, checked as the form checks them.
- GET /api/forms/:id/submissions
- Read the submissions, oldest first, with the key.
- GET /api/forms/:id/submissions/:sid
- Read one submission.
Its rules
- Send the key as Authorization: Bearer <key>.
- An open form takes submissions without a key; reading them always takes it.
- Each address sends so many submissions a minute, as your plan sets.
- Only what the form asks is kept, its files included.
Where answers go
Each submission is kept as one of the form’s responses, whether the app is open or not, and starts your workflows.
